Fair Play Administrating a DKP System is a time consuming effort that requires extra work of the responsible part at every event. For this reason, attendance points will not be given to a member who is not yet registered on the website. Character linking is not necessary for this rule, but an account is. A member who participates at an event and is not yet registered has a 24 hour window to do it before the points are lost.
This also means that any member who is registered, regarldess of current points, will have priority on drops.
