Roles

What is an Overseer?
The purpose of an overseer is to make sure the linkshell works towards its current goals. Apart from keeping the community in a good mood, such goals can be handle administrative roles.

The Happy Role
This is the main and most important aspect of being an Overseer. It is the responsibility of each and every Overseer to confront and handle any disputes and/or feedback left by our members. Overseers should also be able to keep a keen eye open for matters and handle them in a respectful and appropriate manner before they escalate.

The Planning Role
Although we hope for the entire community to provide feedback and suggestions to make our linkshell better, Overseers play a particularly big part in this matter. They are to continously plan and present ideas and suggestions to to improve and develop Nantekotta.

The Administrative Role
It is the joint responsibility of all Overseers to make sure the DKP system is kept up-to-date.

In closing, the Overseers are permitted to remove any member of the linkshell who is deemed to cause more harm than profit for the rest of our community. If such a scenario presents itself, at least 2 Overseers must agree on the decision.

Appointment Details

Number of Overseers
The amount of overseers shall always be circa 5% of the linkshell, distributed over play times by the same factors as members.

Election
Overseers are appointed by the current Overseers of the linkshell, by a majority vote. If an Overseer is up for possible demotion (for any reason), at least 75% of the other Overseers must be in favor of the decision.

Trial Period
Each new Overseer is subject to a trial period of 3 months. During this time, the Overseer works in the same capacity as all other Overseers.

At the end of the trial period, a vote will be cast to determine if the Overseer can be given the position permanently. The entire linkshell is invited to cast their votes. If 10%< of the linkshell votes to demote the Overseer, he or she will either be demoted or given a 1 month extension, at which time a new vote will be held.

Respectfully,
